ACDC or AC DC” as the Hard Rock hand was founded by the Australian Young brothers (Angus and Malcom) in 1973, they chose “AC/DC” as the hard rock and roll band because they saw the words on their sister’s sewing machine, the words stood for “Alternating Current/Direct Current”.
Both Angus and Malcom felt that it could sum up the energy/ powerful performances of their music band based on this word’s meaning.
AC/DC continued growing as the heavy metal hard rock and roll band to attract more audiences and achieve “record-breaking” ticket sales since Brian Johnson joined to take over as the leading singer.
AC/DC had sold over 200 million music albums worldwide, including 69 million albums in the United States so far, and was ranked number 4 on VH1’s list of the “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock”.
AC/DC will start their concert tours to support Black Ice in the United States then have a short break before they would resume their tour in Europe.
